Setting

Riverside Pre-school CIO operates in Bitterne Park and is managed by a voluntary parent's Management Committee.

We are open to children from 2 years until they start school (subject to availability). We operate our waiting lists according to age.

We pride ourselves on creating a learning environment that is enjoyable, varied and take place both indoors and outdoors. We have developed relationships with external organisations in order that the children have access to a wide range of experience. We are particularly proud of developing a relationship with local care home Speedwell Court in West End, Southampton. The older children from Bitterne Park will make regular weekly trips to the care home to interact with the elderly residents. The practice of intergenerational care has proven benefits for both the elderly and young leading to decreasing isolation and improved wellbeing for everyone involved. https://www.ageukmobility.co.uk/mobility-news/article/intergenerational-care

If you would like to visit the pre-school, put your name down on our waiting list or begin the admissions process please email our administration staff on info@riversidepreschool.co.uk

Bitterne Park Setting

At Bitterne Park priority is given to children who live in the Bitterne Park catchment area, then children who live outside this area, but have siblings in Bitterne Park Primary School.

This setting is long established and has a strong presence in the community. It is made up of two well-resourced and bright playrooms connecting out to an open access outdoor space. The setting also benefits from access to Bitterne Park Primary School playground and the wonderful opportunities provided by Riverside Park.
