Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Successful personal, social and emotional development is critical for young children in all aspects of their lives and gives them the best opportunity for success in all other areas of learning.- Children learn to share their environment with others, treat others with respect and behave appropriately.
- We encourage children to develop confidence to try activities, develop independence in personal skills such as dressing and undressing, and to develop respect for those who are different from themselves in terms of gender, culture, religion or ability.
- Good behaviour is achieved through high expectations of the children by discussing behaviour and being consistent and fair when dealing with them.
